Lego Classics by Balakov

I love these Lego Classics by Balakov. Click here for his awesome compositions. Some are very humorous.
V.J. Day Times Square
A Lego recreation of Alfred Eisenstaedt's 1945 photograph "V.J. Day Times Square".
Afghan Girl
A Lego recreation of Steve McCurry's 1985 National Geographic cover photograph of Sharbat Gula (previously known simply as "Afghan Girl" before her formal identification in 2002).
Miley Cyrus
A Lego recreation of Annie Leibovitz's controversial 2008 photograph of 15 year old singer/actress Miley Cyrus.
Moon landing
Here's what he said about this photo. "The 20th July 2009 is the 40th anniversary of the first manned landing on the moon. I've always been unhappy with my previous moon landing photo because of the 'modern' Lego spaceman. The classic 1978 Lego spaceman is far more fitting for this sort of thing (he's from the Vintage collection Vol. 2)."
Horse In Motion
A recreation of a photographic experiment conducted by Eadweard Muybridge in 1878. Of this photo Balakov says "Muybridge set out to determine that all four feet of a galloping horse left the ground at the same time. I have been unable to reproduce his findings."
Ophelia
Barakovs interpretation of Ophelia from Shakespeare's Hamlet, based on the painting by John Everett Millais in 1852.
He also uploads the setup of his scenes out of interest. See his setup for Ophelia.
Ophelia - Setup
It makes me want to play.
