I ♡ Oliver Jeffers

My family and I are huge fans of Oliver Jeffers. My favourite book of his is The Incredible Book Eating Boy. This print was created exclusively for the Royale We by Oliver Jeffers, this is a signed print of a hand painted map of America. With pins. Each print comes with 102 pins to chart your path to total American domination. 100 of the pins are orange, one of them is red and one of them is blue. Orange is for states conquered, red is for headquarters and blue is for state of origin.

 What a great idea. I'd love to do something like this for New Zealand.

LMNOP reader, Jessica McEvoy took their Craft Challenge back in December and won with these very cool, beeswax Space Invader crayons. Jess and her daughter have been working on perfecting a recipe for making beeswax Space Invader crayons. I didn't even know you could make your own crayons. This is something I'd LOVE to try!! I bet it's messy though.

I've been trying my hands at collage

My inspiration lately has been to use materials I already have to create new things. This has led me to some experimentation with painting and collage for for my mum and sisters gifts this Christmas. There were quite a few technical issues which I stumbled into but in the end I think they turned out ok.
