Epic long weekend adventure

Here in New Zealand we had a fabulous long weekend with the Monday off for Labour Day. We went on an epic adventure to Kuratau (near Taupo) and the mountain for some snowboarding. I spent Saturday and Sunday reading, crafting, relaxing, hanging with the girls and soaking up the sunshine. Mikey spent the weekend shredding the hills with some awesome friends. The house where we stayed belongs to a close friends parents and was built by his grandparents. The decor and view of lake Taupo is incredible as you will see...

The shots at the beach proceed a night to remember and an incredible spontaneous dance party I'll never forget. It was such a lovely getaway, made even better by the lovely people we spent it with. x B

Time out and away

This weekend Mikey, my Mum and I took a wee break away from the chaos of busy inner city living and went for a little getaway to Mount Maunganui. We went down to visit our new baby niece Caitlyn and her ma and pa in Papamoa as well as taking in the sunshine, beach, ice-cream, freezing cold weather but beautiful sunshine. We took the scenic route home to stop at the historic sites, visit (overpriced) antiques stores and experience the road.
