Music Monday - Beach House

I just can't get enough of Beach House's album Teen Dream at the moment. We got my Mikey a cool vintage record player for his birthday last week and this album on vinyl. Zebra is one of my favourite tracks. I find the chorus intoxicating.

Walk in the park is one to sing along to. You know you want to. (Sorry I had to remove this video it was a bit to unsettling to the tummy). The song is awesome but the official video is quite shocking.

Music Monday - Julia and Angus Stone

Today's Music Monday is music you can dream to. Julia and Angus Stone are a brother/sister duo from Australia. Their music is emotive, contemplative and motivating.

The Boys is my favourite song. I love the tied dyed ponchos!

Music Monday - Lykke Li

Love out of lust and I follow rivers are two hot tracks from Lykke Li's upcoming album Wounded Rhymes. I can't wait to get it. I love that she rocks the high bun. It's a frequent go to style for me.
Lykke Li - Love Out Of Lust by LykkeLi
I Follow Rivers (Dave Sitek Remix) by LykkeLi
This is one of my original favourite Lykke Li tracks.

Music Monday - Toro Y Moi

A dear friend of ours introduced us to Toro Y Moi awhile back. Toro Y Moi is the stage name used by recording artist Chazwick Bundick. His music has taken on many forms since he began recording, but he is now identified with the chillwave movement of summer 2009.

I've recently discovered the song Blessa and it's my new fav chill out song. Unfortunately I can't embed the video but click the link to enjoy on YouTube. Enjoy this other tune by Toro Y Moi. x

Music Monday - Sufjan Stevens

Sufjan Stevens has been one of my favourite artists for years. I was so pleased to hear of his latest release The Age of Adz. Even more exciting is his planned trip to little old New Zealand in Febuary. My Mikey and I are planning a big trip and will be away till the end of January. All our funds are going into that but I'm hoping it doesn't sell out before we get tickets OR I'm hoping we get tickets for Christmas. Friends if you're reading this there may be a treat for you from New York, Berlin and or Tokyo when we return. hehe.
x

In the meantime enjoy these tunes...

I'm loving these lyrics...

There's so much travel
And now that I'm older
Someone else, can see it for myself
So much travel, yeah
Now that I'm older

Music Monday - Two Door Cinema Club

Today's music monday comes courtesy of my Mikey. I haven't done my homework but Mikey tells me the band comes from Williamsburg New York. We are staying in Williamsburg for one of the weeks we are in New York over December-January. He particularly loves their album artwork, he's a sucker for a cute cat. Their creative videos are awesome.

Enjoy!
